Free PDUs, and We Come to You!

Fortezza Consulting is offering its DC-area newsletter subscribers free PDUs on-site at your place of work, for up to 10 participants! You can choose either a 2-hour session, or a 4-hour session. The 2-hour session will introduce five of our nine “ACCLAIM” techniques for breakthrough project portfolio performance, and the 4-hour session will cover seven techniques. Contact us for details!

Interested in full-day 7-PDU training options? While these aren’t free, they offer unique and compelling content for PMO executives, at a great value. On November 11, we will be conducting “7 Essential Techniques That All High-Performing PMOs Must Master,” at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville, MD. This first-ever seminar will be co-presented with PMO Strategies, and will be a unique mix of techniques from both companies. As a second full-day training option, Fortezza Consulting will be covering all nine ACCLAIM techniques in depth on November 18, as part of the PMI Washington DC Chapter’s seminar series, at the Crowne Plaza Tysons Corner hotel. Registration opens soon…email us and we’ll send you the registration link as soon as it’s active!

Upcoming Events

For those in the Washington, DC area, there are two PMI events coming up. The first is the PMI Washington DC Chapter’s annual symposium at the J.W. Marriott downtown this Friday, September 26, and the second one is the PMI Montgomery County Chapter’s annual symposium at the Universities at Shady Grove on Wednesday, October 15. CEO Mike Hannan will be presenting at both.

At the PMIWDC event, he will be presenting “The Best of Both Worlds,” on how to blend Agile and traditional projects into a common portfolio framework.

At the PMI-MC event, he will be co-presenting on Agile Governance, focusing on how to apply an “apples-to-apples” view of different project buffer types to balance buffers across hybrid portfolios of Agile and traditional projects. At both events, Mike will be conducting book-signings of our newly released book, The CEO’s Guide to Breakthrough Project Portfolio Performance, as well as offering discounts on the book.

The following week on Thursday, November 13, we will be presenting at the Agile Development Conference-East event in Orlando, Florida. The topic will be “Breakthrough Portfolio Performance: Managing a Mix of Agile and Non-Agile Projects,” similar to the PMIWDC presentation, but tailored for the Agile audience. Use speaker code 14BSCE43MH for up to $200 off registration!
